Samsung’s Galaxy S Fan Edition line-up has sometimes been unreliable. Since releasing the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020, which got much attention, the company has only made one other FE phone, the Galaxy S21 FE, which could have done better. Samsung had planned to add a new, cheaper model to its top-of-the-line Galaxy S line every year, but the Galaxy S22 FE was an easy way out. Samsung never even told us why they stopped making the S22 FE. The world chip shortage, however, made it hard for the company to carry out its plans.
New rumors about Samsung’s Fan Edition have given people hope again. It is said that Samsung is making the Galaxy S23 FE to replace one of its A-line phones. Will the company bring back the Galaxy S20 FE’s glory? Or will it go straight to the 2023 FE phone? Here is what we know about the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
Will Samsung make a Galaxy S23 FE?

Even though there were a lot of rumors about the Galaxy S22 FE last year, Samsung ended up getting rid of it. The same thing could happen to the S23 FE, of course. Roland Quandt from Winfuture, a journalist with a pretty good track record of leaking information before it’s released, said on Twitter in March, “It sure doesn’t look like there’ll be an S23 FE this year.” Also Read – Galaxy S23 users need to be on the lookout for update
A Korean magazine called SisaJournal, which could be more well-known, said in mid-March that Samsung does plan to release the Galaxy S23 FE in the fourth quarter of this year. It could come out any time between October 2023 and December 2023. But we would only put a little stock in this because we need to know how reliable the news source is.
As of right now, we still don’t know if the Galaxy S23 FE exists or not. We’ll have to wait until Samsung gives us an official answer, which could happen when the phone comes out. That is if there is even going to be a Galaxy S23 FE.
What is the date that the Galaxy S23 FE will be out?
From when Samsung’s earlier Fan Edition phones came out, it’s clear that there’s no set date for the company to release a new FE model. The fact that the past FE releases were spread out doesn’t tell us anything about when the Galaxy S23 FE will come out. The Korean magazine we discussed above said the launch would happen in the fourth quarter. SamMobile also confirmed that the game would come out in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Hankook, another Korean news source, said that Samsung might want to release the Galaxy S23 FE as soon as August or September. But since the phone’s future is still up in the air, it’s hard to say when it will come out.
We’ll keep an eye out for more rumors about when the Galaxy S23 FE will come out, and if we hear anything, we’ll add it to this story. Read Also – Samsung Galaxy S24 could get a totally new update rate
Design: –
Most of the time, the Fan edition phones are based on the style of the more expensive Galaxy S series. Even though no models or pictures of the Galaxy S23 FE have been leaked, we expect it to look a lot like the Galaxy S23 phones, especially the vanilla model. There’s always a chance that the company will do something different, but the S23 FE will not be very different from the S23 line in design.
It’s easier to know what the Galaxy S23 FE will look like with more reliable details. One thing we know for sure is that if the phone exists, we’ll see it before it’s announced. Read Also – Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD 4TB Variation Released in India
Details and specs: –
The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC could be a part of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. The chipset came out in 2022 and was used in many of the best phones of that year, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and many others. All the gadgets we’ve tested have done a great job with it. Some might think that Samsung is moving away from what the Fan Edition phones stand for.
One thing that helped sell this series is that it is affordable and has the same engine as Samsung’s more expensive flagships. Samsung may have chosen to downgrade the Galaxy S23 FE’s processor to save money and give customers a device that doesn’t hurt their wallets.
We’ve already discussed a sketchy story from a Korean magazine that said the S23 FE would come out in the fourth quarter. Most other rumors about the phone come from the same place, which could be better. The most important thing the outlet says it knows is that the phone will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which was used in the S22 line. The chip had problems with power efficiency and long-term performance, which could be disappointing for those who thought the S23 FE would be a powerful flagship option to the S23 series.
SamMobile and Maeil said in April that the Exynos 2200 chip would power the Galaxy S23 FE. Yes, the same chipset that is in Galaxy S22 models sold in Europe. This would be a letdown because the Exynos chip had trouble with speed. But Maeil says that Samsung has made “design changes” to the chip he doesn’t know much about to improve yield rates. These changes will also improve speed and efficiency.
The SamMobile piece we just talked about shows a few more apparent features. The most significant change is that the primary camera is now 50MP instead of 12MP, which was the case with earlier models. The phone also has a 4,500mAh battery and 128GB to 256GB of storage space. What will the price be for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE?

The Galaxy S23 FE price is likely 20–30% less than the expected Galaxy S23 model with 256GB of storage, which costs $799. That would put the price of the S23 FE between $560 and $640.
Again, we recommend that you take this information with a large grain of salt. Before more reliable sources tell us more about the Galaxy S23 FE, we can only say a little for sure about it.
Also, it’s essential to know that the Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE started at $700. So the Galaxy S23 FE coming in under this price would be shocking.
Camera updates: –
The camera on the Galaxy S23 FE has been outdated for a long time. The S21 FE’s camera didn’t stand out because it had the same basic features as the S20 FE. On the last Fan Edition phone, Samsung had a 12MP primary camera, an ultrawide camera, and an 8MP zoom sensor that didn’t do anything. We hope Samsung moves on from those old features. It would be great if the company could match the camera setup of the standard Galaxy S23 model or keep the bigger pixel size and better AI photography skills of devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
More RAM: –
The base form of the Galaxy S21 FE only had 6GB of RAM. We hope Samsung bumps that up to at least 8GB so that the Galaxy S23 FE can do more than one thing at once and quickly open big apps.
